The major roles identified as the State Level Technical Institution for the implementation of PMFME include:

• Conducting training of trainers (ToT) for state government - officials / Resource persons /entrepreneurs
• Liaisoning with the state nodal agencies of respective states
• Conducting training of master trainers in the identified areas to participants across the country
• Capacity development activities to support micro entrepreneurs
• Technology transfer as per ODOP
• Hand - holding of entrepreneurs identified under the scheme
• DPR preparation for establishing manufacturing units
• Incubation services for startups and entrepreneurs
• Conducting workshop / seminar with the participation of entrepreneurs, state officials and banking institutions
• Dissemination of PMFME and ODOP concepts
